I drove past my neighbor's house today and the American flag was flying at half staff. It got me thinking about what we're told about Pearl Harbor in our U.S. History classes. We're told how bravely our U.S. soldiers fought and about some of the citizens we lost. I don't remember being told that almost half of the citizens killed at Pearl Harbor were Japanese Americans. Many of them were innocent fisherman going about their daily business when the attack occurred.

Today, I hope you'll take a moment to remember all the people killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor. All lives are precious and nobody should be forgotten.
